School choices

List your child's 6 secondary school choices in order of preference.

You will have additional considerations if your child is applying to the following schools:

The school affiliated to your child’s primary school
For priority admission to the affiliated secondary school, your child must indicate that school as their first choice. However, admission is not guaranteed as it is subject to vacancies.

Some schools may also have additional qualifying criteria for students from affiliated primary schools.

At least 20% of the vacancies in each Posting Group of each school is allocated to students who do not benefit from affiliation priority.
Dual-track secondary schools
For schools offering both Integrated Programme (IP) and the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC), affiliation considerations apply only to the SEC.

If your child is interested in both the IP and SEC offered by the same school, indicate them as separate choices in order of preference. Selecting only the IP option means your child would not be considered for the SEC, and vice versa.

List of dual-track schools:
  • Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)
  • Catholic High School
  • Cedar Girls' Secondary School
  • CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School
  • Methodist Girls' School (Secondary)
  • Singapore Chinese Girls' School
  • St. Joseph's Institution
  • Victoria School

Third Language options

If your child is eligible for a Third Language, list up to 3 choices in order of preference.

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, selection will be based on merit. Your child will receive the outcome from their posted secondary school in late December.

When choosing schools

Your child will be posted based on academic merit. This means that a student with a better PSLE score will be considered first for posting to their preferred school.
